Through this journey, I learned the value of being a good teammate,competition,and the essentials of success in athletics. I&#8217;ve had the honor of sharing the ice with some of the best hockey players, many of whom have played in the National Hockey League. I&#8217;ve come to understand that achieving success as an athlete requires hard work, dedication, and character. How you conduct yourself, treat others, and your role as a teammate are pivotal not only in sports but also in life.\n            <\/p>\n          <\/div>\n\n          <p>\nMy wife and I are educators with the Ottawa Carleton District School Board, with a combined 30 years of experience working with youth across various settings, including elementary and high schools, youth detention centers, homeless shelters, group homes, and sports camps.
